001 | weekly reports | |
POPPY: | Brave, did you hear? Looks like we shall give weekly reports on what we're doing.
BRAVE: | Yeah, we're 'sposed to. Well, though March started from this week, it's still rather cold, isn't it? It hasn't really hit me yet that spring has come, but anyway I'm very happy 'cause I hate cold and dry winter.
POPPY: | That reminds me, your nose is sometimes dried up though you don't have a fever.
BRAVE: | My skin is somewhat dry type. |

POPPY: | Today we heard bush warblers chirping in the yard. It's getting more like spring day by day.
BRAVE: | Yeah, I'll catch them one of these days. By the way, Poppy, I've had a question.
POPPY: | What? | |
BRAVE: | Our family consists of six members. That is, two cats of us and four peoples; granny, pop, mommy, and big sister. My question is that! How come we call her "sis", not "auntie." Generally, a sister means a young girl, doesn' it? But she cannot look so young by any means.
POPPY: | Shh! Bure, that is a taboo here. You know, she's still single, though I don't know why. Her pride as a woman cannot allow to be called "auntie," I guess. |

003 | leopard? | |
POPPY: | Brave and I come to the office every day. We are busy calling by pressing one-touch button, running off copies, receiving visitors, taking a nap, etc.
BRAVE: | Know what, Poppy,? Today while you're away, a visitor came here. He was astonished at me and screamed, "Is it a leopard cub?" Funny, isn't it? Usually leopards don't work in the offices.
POPPY: | Right. Leopards work in the zoos.
BRAVE: | Z-O-O? What's that?
POPPY: | It's an animal park.
BRAVE: | But I saw on TV recently that a leopard was climbing up a tall tree in the woods.
POPPY: | He must be the unemployed. The world is not easy to live in. |

POPPY: | Today I was scolded by sister.
BRAVE: | What did you do this time?
POPPY: | While I was looking at her practicing calligraphy, I just wanted to try it, too.
BRAVE: | Wow, Poppy! Can you write characters? But how did you hold a writing brush?
POPPY: | I held it in my mouth. Anyway, I began to write, and then she scolded me.
BRAVE: | How come? | |
POPPY: | I wrote directly on the tatami mat. I guess it's not good to write on it. Next time I'll write on paper. |
